About the show...

ROYKO: The Toughest Man In Chicago is a solo show written and performed by Mitchell Bisschop about Chicago's most popular newspaper columnist Mike Royko. Royko wrote over 7,500 columns in his 34 years as a newspaperman, always advocating for the working man.

 

This show was created to give, not only a portrait of a man who stood up to power with his pen, but to give a snapshot of a time and a city that is forgotten as it's problems remain relevant today.
